Perhaps stroll through the historic Rocks area and Circular Quay or visit the Royal Botanic Gardens, or take a walk to the Opera House and watch the world go by as you relax in a cafe along the concourse. | Day 4 | Sydney | Sydney Sightseeing : Today's morning sightseeing tour will highlight views of Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House from Mrs. Macquarie's Chair. Enjoy time to stroll along famous Bondi Beach, before returning to the city. Later, we take a luxury cruise on Sydney Harbour which includes a delicious lunch on board. There is an interesting commentary plus spectacular sights as we cruise by Sydney's prestigious suburbs.(Buffet breakfast) |

| Day 8 | Alice Springs | The Ghan - Alice Springs (3 night) : Enjoy a leisurely breakfast on board The Ghan before you arrive in Alice Springs for our three-night stay. After disembarking you'll be met at the station and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a sightseeing tour of this unique outback town including the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Telegraph Station and School of the Air. | Day 9 | Aboriginal Culture & Alice Springs Desert Park | Aboriginal Culture & Alice Springs Desert Park : Travel out to the world renowned Alice Springs Desert Park where you will be greeted by a local Aboriginal Guide. See the park from a different perspective as you learn about the traditions of the Arrente people. Explore the Desert Rivers and Sand Country habitats and learn about survival in this arid country. Visit the Nocturnal House and enjoy reserved seating at the Birds of Pray Presentation, as well as having free time to explore the Park at leisure.(Buffet breakfast) |
| Day 10 | West MacDonnell Ranges & Gorges | West MacDonnell Ranges & Gorges : This morning after breakfast, our day begins with a tour of the West MacDonnell Ranges. We'll stop at Simpsons Gap with its lovely red river gum scenery. Continue on to magical Angkerle (Standley Chasm). We'll walk into the Chasm along the stony watercourse lined with cycads, ghost gums, acacias and cypress pines. Then we will travel to Ellery Creek Big Hole before arriving at Ormiston Gorge. We travel on to Glen Helen Gorge, a semi permanent waterhole, for lunch. Depending on the time of year, a swim may be possible at one of the waterholes. Nearby is Mt Sonder, which was the subject of many paintings by the famed Aboriginal artist, Albert Namatjira. (Buffet breakfast / Lunch) Hotel: Desert Gardens Hotel |
| Day 11 | Ayers Rock | Alice Springs - Ayers Rock : Travel through the "Red Centre" from Alice Springs to Ayers Rock Resort, stopping en route at a camel farm. Later we visit the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). On arrival at the base of Walpa Gorge we spend some time exploring the area and the unusual conglomerate rock formations. The walking trail through Walpa Gorge follows the natural creek between two of the tallest domes of Kata Tjuta. In the late afternoon we travel to the Ayers Rock sunset viewing area. Witness and photograph the striking color changes of Ayers Rock while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine.(Buffet breakfast) Hotel: Desert Gardens Hotel |
| Day 12 | Cairns | Ayers Rock - Cairns (3 nights) : Today it's an early start as we head out to view sunrise at Uluru (Ayers Rock). See the Red Centre set alight by the first rays of the sun. Later, enjoy a tour of the base. Visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre before boarding your afternoon flight to Cairns. On arrival at Cairns Airport you'll be transferred to your hotel where you'll spend the next three relaxing nights. | Days 13 & 14 | Cairns | Cairns at Leisure : Enjoy two full days at leisure in this tropical city. During your stay, why not take an unforgettable cruise to the Great Barrier Reef or an excursion through the rainforest on the Skyrail Cableway to Kuranda?
